Wrong Site/Wrong IOL Surgery American Academy of Ophthalmology
This activity is available to American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) members only. It addresses wrong-site surgery and wrong IOL implants. Video reenactments of scenarios demonstrate how errors can occur. Assess your current practices and apply clinical guidelines to prevent operating room mistakes related to wrong surgical site, wrong patient, and wrong IOL implant.
There is a post-test for each section of the activity. The learners go through the standard AAO evaluation process, including answering questions such as: what do you intend to change in your practice based on what you have learned.
