CME Provider: American Psychoanalytic Association

Description of CME Course

As independent psychoanalysts from the British Society, the presenters feel a distinctive identity and aim to articulate the important aspects of their theory and clinical technique and its roots. They have developed their way of working drawing on the contributions from not only Winnicott, but the writings of the women psychoanalysts they have highlighted in their recent book. This session will explore ideas that are central to the independent way of working, and hope to dialogue with participants to see if this resonates or relates with American clinicians. The question to be answered: Can we recognize each other as psychoanalysts?
