Description of CME Course
The AMA and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) have produced an audio podcast and written materials on HIPAA privacy, security, and breach notification rules. This activity is intended for all practicing physicians and their office staff. The enduring material format enables physicians to participate at their convenience. A mixed medium also allows for various types of learning styles and for the participant to repeat the activity if needed. The written materials, used in conjunction with the podcast, will help participants determine their current compliance and provide strategies to implement changes in their practice to ensure full compliance with HIPAA regulations.
