Description of CME Course

Practice Gap: Underdiagnosis of AD in the early stages of the disease (eg, MCI or mild dementia due to AD), with diagnosis often delayed by 2–3 years and up to 90% of patients with MCI remaining undiagnosed or incorrectly diagnosed due to a lack of accessible and cost-effective tools This activity will improve strategies and skills for operationalizing and utilizing biomarker data in the diagnosis of AD for diplomates involved in the care of patients with or at risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

Practice gap: Hesitancy to disclose a diagnosis of dementia This activity will assist diplomates involved in the care of patients with or at risk of Alzheimer’s disease with expertise in communicating biomarker results and guiding patients through next steps in care.
