Description of CME Course
Receiving notice of a medical malpractice claim often comes as a shock to physicians. It ushers them into an adversarial and hostile legal environment. The stress can impair the physician’s health, family relationships, and ability to meet the professional obligations of patient care. The purpose of this internet activity is to provide an appreciation of the toll it takes on physicians and their families, and to enable physicians to explore strategies of coping with the stress of litigation.
