As the population ages, dementia is emerging as a significant public health concern. Pursuit of strategies for dementia risk reduction and disease-modifying treatments (DMTs) have become key focal points of global research and public health action plans. Despite this growing focus, progress in addressing Alzheimer’s disease (AD) remains uneven, with several challenges impeding widespread. This activity provide diplomates with practical skills in applying fluid and imaging biomarker findings to confirm AD pathology in patients with cognitive impairment, and engaging in shared decision-making discussions with patients and care partners to ensure that the most appropriate patients are selected for these new treatments.
