Description of CME Course
This module is an overview of the third focus area of the equity-informed high-reliability learning series focused on advancing equity through five quality and safety focus areas.
The main goals are to center historically marginalized voices by leveraging segmented harm event data to drive equity improvement. Overall, this module seeks to engage participants in examples of how structural racism and other forms of discrimination contribute to poor quality care and suboptimal outcomes for historically disadvantaged individuals and communities; and offers high-level strategies for health system work that operationalizes equitable quality and safety practices to drive longer-term impact, accountability, and sustainability.
