Evidence-based tools (ie, checklists, algorithms, samples, timeline records, etc.) are included to assist hospitals and providers in their efforts to reduce the likelihood of harm and malpractice allegations related to maternal severe hypertension/preeclampsia.

Educational Objectives
Use evidence-based postpartum hemorrhage tools to meet The Joint Commission perinatal safety standards to reduce the likelihood of harm related to maternal severe hypertension/preeclampsia. Achieve blood pressure control in 80% of women with hypertension who are of reproductive age and reduce the maternal mortality rate at your facility by 50% by 2025, particularly cases involving severe hypertension/preeclampsia.
