Performing preeclampsia risk assessments before, during, and after pregnancy can help alleviate risk exposure and improve maternal-fetal patient safety.

Educational Objectives
Explain the pathophysiology of preeclampsia and identify which risk factors place a pregnant or postpartum patient at moderate or high risk for this condition. Adopt an evidence-based preeclampsia risk assessment tool that incorporates a low-high risk scale and use it to evaluate every pregnant patient during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum.
