Description of CME Course

Many women experience significant, negative symptoms of hormone deprivation or are inadequately treated for those symptoms which can negatively impact their health and quality of life. As a reaction to the initial report of the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) study findings, there was a sudden drop in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) use. As a result, nearly a decade of women may have been significantly disadvantaged due to being denied HRT by well-meaning clinicians. Despite updated guidelines and more recent high-quality studies, there is still a significant clinician knowledge deficit related to HRT in women. This activity will provide updated information to help close the gap and impact the health outcomes and quality of life for many women.
