Description of CME Course

This activity is comprised of five multiple-choice questions based on the content of an AMA Journal of Ethics podcast about key ideas from disability ethics that can inform our thinking about age-related biases and how medicalizing aging affects our health, relationships, and sense of self. The featured guests are Dr Erin Gentry Lamb, the Faculty Lead of the Humanities Pathway in the School of Medicine and to Direct the undergraduate Bioethics and Medical Humanities minor; and Dr Kate De Medeiros, a social gerontologist and researcher who explores how attitudes about aging affect our health, relationships, and sense of self. The target audience for this activity includes clinicians of all specialties as well as other health care professionals. The interview with Dr Lamb was recorded September 22, 2025, and the interview with Dr de Medeiros was recorded September 5, 2025.
