Description of CME Course

This module provides an overview of the second focus area of the Quality, Safety and Equity Framework. The main goal is to equip staff with the knowledge, skills, and tools to create safe spaces for conversations about inequities in the quality and safety of care. This module will engage participants in examples of how structural racism and other forms of discrimination contribute to poor quality care and suboptimal outcomes for historically disadvantaged individuals and communities; and offers high-level strategies for health system work that operationalizes equitable quality and safety practices to drive longer-term impact, accountability, and sustainability.
