Description of CME Course
This ECHO aims to increase Substance Use Disorder (SUD) identification and treatment for prenatal and perinatal people, with a special focus on opioid use disorder and illicit non-pharmaceutical fentanyl. Opioid-related harms for prenatal and perinatal people are increasing during this new fentanyl wave of the opioid epidemic, but individual providers and the health systems they operate in are underequipped for this new challenge. The existing prenatal and perinatal people substance use treatment environments provide inadequate coverage for Oregon’s prenatal and perinatal people and this ECHO will increase treatment capacity by equipping a broader audience of clinicians and their teams.
