Description of CME Course

The purpose of this ECHO program is to support clinicians and their teams practicing in primary care clinics and other settings to identify and treat substance use disorders. There remains a signifcant gap between need and availability in regards to physician-administered bupernorphine and other MAT in Oregon.

1. Learn to screen for and diagnose substance use disorders
2. Understand medications used to treat opioid use disorder, alcohol use disorder, and tobacco use disorder
3. Develop an approach to evaluating, treating, and differentially diagnosing substance-induced mental disorders and mental illnesses that tend to co-occur with substance use disorders.”

5. Understand evidence-based psychosocial interventions for substance use disorders
