Description of CME Course
The purpose of this 12-session ECHO program is to build the capacity of primary care teams to provide gender-affirming care. ECHO is a tele-mentoring program that uses videoconferencing technology to combine brief expert presentations with interactive and practical case presentations from participants. The overall goal of ECHO programming is to build new capacity for care at the community level.

Educational Objectives
1. Allow for a safe learning environment within which attendees can address knowledge gaps and gain confidence in general terminology pertaining to gender-affirming care.
2. Increase likelihood that patients seeking care in attendees’ practices will encounter a gender-affirming environment, including the electronic record, physical space and staff interactions.
3. Increase readiness and comfort of attendees to initiate and manage gender-affirming hormone therapy.
4. Acclimate attendees to range of referrals and services, in addition to gender -affirming hormone therapy, that are available in support of gender transition across the lifespan.
5. Ensure attendees have confidence identifying resources and pathways for answering future questions pertaining to gender-affirming care after ECHO has concluded.
