Description of CME Course

The University of Missouri is celebrating 50 years of excellence in Family & Community Medicine with a series of Continuing Medical Education (CME) presentations. Our goal is to provide valuable updates from our department to our alumni and current faculty, highlighting practice innovations and evidence-based medical practices. Sessions will address gaps family physicians have in knowledge about the current state of medical education, bring their practice management skills up to date and explore and discuss new options for clinical management.

Educational Objectives

The learner will self-report an increase in knowledge of the current state of medical education, updated practice management and new options for clinical management.

Demonstrate the changing epidemiology of cancer in the US. List known causes of cancer, reviewing the science that shows the causes.

Discuss challenges medical educators face in the clinical environment

Demonstrate importance of data identification, collection, and display in practice and quality improvement
