Description of CME Course
Cataract surgery is the most common procedure associated with professional liability claims against ophthalmologists. Three prevalent patient grievances that launch cataract-surgery lawsuits are dissatisfaction with vision after surgery, being the recipient of a wrong-power IOL, and experiencing a postsurgical infection that affects vision. Using case studies, this activity analyzes these three main issues in lawsuits associated with cataract surgery.
