Description of CME Course
The number of cardiothoracic (CT) surgeons is declining, and there is a projected shortage by 2035. At the same time, CT surgery continues to be a high-risk specialty for those practicing it. This activity looks at trends in CT surgery and identifies strategies to help surgeons improve patient safety and reduce professional liability risks.
Diplomate Engagement
Pre-and Post-test results are provided to diplomate and an evaluation survey is issued upon completion of the course. A follow-up post-activity survey is also issued 3-4 months after completion that asks what practice changes have been made.
