Description of CME Course

According to the CDC, atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common type of heart arrhythmia. It is estimated that 3 – 6 million people in the US have AF and this number is expected to increase. The most common consequence of AF is thromboembolism (TE) leading to stroke. To prevent stroke in patients with AF, anticoagulation therapy is recommended but there are now many choices. Part 2 of this 2-part series discusses the risks of anticoagulation treatment and reversal therapies.
