Description of CME Course

To provide optimal patient care, clinicians need to be well informed about the latest clinical research updates and how these advances compare to the current standard of care for patients with various types of cancer. To inform decision-making and formulate cancer management strategies, clinicians need up-to-date information and opportunities to apply this information through case-based learning. NCCN has identified gaps in the ability of practicing oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, and other health care professionals who provide care for patients with cancer to stay updated regarding the current guidelines for the management of cancer, recent studies of therapies for the treatment of cancer, and selection of the best treatment strategies for these patients. This activity will improve the level of care provided by diplomates caring for patients with cancer by educating them on the latest updates to the NCCN guidelines for treating these patient populations.
