American Association for Physician Leadership

Dealing with countless demands each day is an integral part of the physician’s routine. But what happens when this routine becomes ingrained and becomes too much to handle? There is no doubt that burnout is a pervasive part of culture among physicians, but do you have the skills to effectively manage it? Though research surrounding burnout exists, few resources practically apply the established tools for battling burnout to real-life experiences as a physician.

From Burnout to Bliss is a unique interactive course that uses one physician leader’s real-life experience to teach strategies for understanding, identifying, and eliminating burnout. Recognizing obstacles, the importance of mentors, facing challenges head-on, and achieving a state of bliss are all topics that will be covered in the course. Upon completion, you will have the information necessary to identify warning signs for burnout and build tools to formulate effective strategies for overcoming burnout in your life and in the lives of your team members.

Topics in this course include:

Preparing for Obstacles in our life
Seeking Mentors
Overcoming Challenges
Dealing with Crisis
Achieving a State of Bliss
