Description of CME Course
The Oregon ECHO Network (OEN) will work closely with integrated behavioral health specialists to deliver a 12-session Integrated Behavioral Health ECHO program thatd elivrers best practices for recognizing and identifying opportunities to integrate behavioral health practices into primary care clinics, followed by an interactive case discussion. Participants will be invited to present de-identified patient cases focused on challenges they face with their primary care patients regarding diagnosing or treating common and complex conditions.

Educational Objectives
1. Differentiate between Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) and co-located models of care
2. Address efficient, cohesive workflows to maximize the skillsets of both Behavioral Health Clinicians (BHCs) and Primary Care Clinicians and address when and how to partner with BHCs to optimize PCP visits, with the goals to increase provider satisfaction and quality of care for patients and their families
3. Expand the scope of BHCs in primary care practices to maximize impact and reach of IBH to both patients and medical providers including but not limited to diabetes, depression, and pain management
4. Maximize the opportunity to leverage BHC's skills to support whole person health care
5. Understand the different models of integrated behavioral health within primary care
6. Describe the core concepts and models of integrated behavioral health, including the differences between co-located and primary care behavioral health
7. Recognize the interconnections between mental and physical health in comprehensive care, gaining skills to support whole person health and assess and screen for common behavioral health conditions and
8. Understand how to develop effective, relationship centered strategies for communication, referral pathways, and joint care planning among primary care and behavioral health, to enhance patient care and ensure holistic treatment approaches across disciplines while addressing efficient, cohesive workflows to maximize the skillsets
