PREP Nephrology is a self-directed activity that helps pediatric nephrologists assess their areas of strengths as well as keep current on new developments in the field while preparing for re-certification in pediatric nephrology. Eight new questions are presented each month. The activity offers rigorously peer-reviewed questions and critiques, written by specialists for specialists, which are mapped to the American Board of Pediatrics content specifications in pediatric nephrology. Each critique includes a detailed discussion of the preferred response and clearly identifies which content specification(s) it addresses.
In addition to an annual evaluation presented at the end of the year, approximately 14-16 questions (designed to change practice) survey learners by asking if they plan to make a change in practice based on what they learned in the question/critique presented.
